Movie Animation Park Studios (MAPS) to feature Qsmart technology
Accesso Technology Group has signed a five-year deal with Malaysia’s newest theme park, Movie Animation Park Studios (MAPS), to install its patented smartphone-based queuing solution – Qsmart. Scheduled to open in Perak by mid 2016, MAPS will feature more than 40 rides, shows and attractions including the world’s first DreamWorks-dedicated zone, Malaysia’s tallest drop tower, and a thrilling live-action car stunt show. KSL City Mall 2 starting construction by year end
KSL City Mall 2, which is expected to be one of the largest shopping malls in Klang, will be starting construction by the end of 2015. Property developer KSL Holdings Bhd stated that the 2000 sq ft mall would be integrated with a 400-room hotel and 3 blocks of service apartments, with a total GDV of RM2 billion. (The Edge Markets)
Serene Heights township to be launched by end-June
Property developer UEM Sunrise Bhd is planning to launch the first phase of its Serene Heights township project in Bangi, Selangor by June 28, 2015. The first phase launch will include 274 units of terrace houses targeted towards first-time homebuyers and young professionals. The 181.3ha project will focus on developing terrace houses, and is worth RM3.2 billion in gross development value, and expected to be fully completed within the next 10 years. Fututech plans RM500mil worth of property projects
Construction firm Fututech Bhd specializes in high-end high-rise buildings and manufacturing of kitchen sets. The company has worked with top developers like E&O, Eco World and SP Setia. It is set to launch the Vista Residences serviced apartments at Gohtong Jaya in Genting Highlands in Q4 this year, worth about RM300mil, and is planning to launch a RM200mil condominium project at Monterez Golf and Country Club in Shah Alam next year. Gamuda 3Q net profit down 9.83%
Gamuda’s net profit for 3QFY15 saw a decline of 9.83% to RM160.43 million from a year ago, while revenue for the same period fell 12.63% to RM553.78 million. The drop was attributed to the completion of the electrified double-tracking railway project and a soft property market. However, Gamuda is optimistic for the rest of the year, which include ongoing construction projects, substantial unbilled sales of the property division, and steady earnings from the water and expressway concessions division. Property developer Welton Development Sdn Bhd received an award for Interior Design Show Home Asia Pacific 2015-2016 for its Green Haven Sales Gallery at the recent Property Awards. The sales gallery was designed by their Singapore-based interior design consultants “0932”, and features a balanced juxtaposition of human activities, natural light and finely detailed finishes.
