Shah Alam is not only drawing the attention of developers, but also homebuyers and investors. When the Emira Residences and Urban Retail mixed development by OSK Properties was launched last year, crowds of curious homebuyers thronged the weekend preview. Its location, strategically placed within the heart of Shah Alam, makes it the ideal spot for those who want the tranquility of suburban living, without sacrificing the convenience and excitement of the city.
The Emira is a single-tower development, set on 2.9 acres of land, housing 400 units of residential suites spread over 28 storeys, with three different layouts available: 1,238 sq ft with 3+1 bedrooms, 883 sq ft with 2 bedrooms, and 614 sq ft with single bedroom. All units come partially-furnished, and each unit will be allocated 1 to 3 parking bays based on the number of rooms in a unit. Prices ranged from RM385,000 to RM767,000 during the launch last year, but are likely to have increased within the past half year.
One of the main selling points of Emira (besides its central location) is the Garden Patio on the 8th floor and Sky Patio on the top floor, which offer residents sofa bed lounges, water treadmills, a jacuzzi, green parterre, trellis lounges, water canals, hammocks and a potpourri garden, in addition to the run-of-the-mill swimming pool, badminton courts, multipurpose hall, gym, children’s playland, and reading room.
Residents of the Emira can enjoy a relaxing evening stroll along a green circular walkway furnished with vertical gardens, trellises and water features at the Garden Patio, an exciting movie night at the entertainment deck, or even sweat it out at the rooftop gym overviewing the beautiful sunset.
Its Urban Retail component offers residents two whole floors with 50 retail units consisting of boutique shops and F&B outlets. For those who prefer more choices for retail therapy, there is also a Tesco Extra directly opposite within walking distance, as well as an upcoming AEON hypermarket that will be completed before the Emira project. Also good to note is the new KDU University College campus that is a short drive away. Other notable nearby landmarks include the Shah Alam Stadium, Management and Science University (MSU), and Giant hypermarket.
The Emira Residences and Urban Retail is currently under construction, and is scheduled to be completed in 2018.
