The Dusun, Seremban (Negeri Sembilan)
A small, family-owned and run nature resort consisting of 5 houses, The Dusun is designed for those who enjoy fresh air, lush greenery, jungle views, lingering meals with loved ones, peaceful strolls and the wonderfully uncoordinated orchestra of nature sounds. Two infinity pools are shared by the 5 houses, and each house is equipped with a well-stocked kitchen as well as a BBQ pit. Berembun and Emas Houses are dog-friendly because they have large decks within the houses and have dog gates, but the common Patio Area is off-limits to dogs as it is a halal space. Awanmulan, Jelebu (Negeri Sembilan)
Awanmulan is a collection of small homes in the hills of Negeri Sembilan, where guests can experience the beauty of nature and getaway from the hustle and bustle of city life. The name Awanmulan was inspired by the owner’s departed pet dog Mulan, and the ‘clouds’ (awan in Malay) or misty fog that appear on rainy days. There is a small waterfall, river and hiking trail for those who prefer outdoor activities there. Do note that pets are only allowed in certain rooms, so be sure to enquire in advance. The retreat is a private house and only guests with prior bookings are allowed to enter the property. (Awanmulan website)
