We’ve covered medically-equipped green homes, along with residences inspired by ice cubes and flowing water, so it’s only natural (pun intended) for us to add a nature-inspired luxury condominium to the lineup. The Rainz at Bukit Jalil aims to provide a resort lifestyle to residents while blending its concept with the atmosphere of being one with nature.
Location
The Rainz is a high-end residential project by Exsim Group, located between the bustling locale of Old Klang Road and Bukit Jalil. The development will comprise of 3 condominium blocks with 35 storeys each, and includes a 6-storey car park podium.
The project is boxed in by 4 highways, providing easy connectivity to Old Klang Road, Kesas Highway, Bukit Jalil Highway, Kuala Lumpur-Putrajaya Highway (MEX Highway), and even the KL-Seremban Highway. In terms of public transport, two LRT stations are within reach from The Rainz: Sri Petaling LRT Station and Bukit Jalil LRT Station, with another 2 more upcoming stations to be built nearby.
Planning a weekend getaway for noms in Seremban, or a shopping trip to KLCC, Mid Valley or IOI Mall will not be a problem for those living in The Rainz. There are also several schools and higher education institutions within driving distance from the development, so parents do not have to look far. As for everyday necessities, there are many restaurants, grocery shops and convenience stores nearby to cater for individuals and families, while those looking for some extra recreation can opt for a short drive to Bukit Jalil Golf & Country Club or Bukit Jalil Recreational Park.
Layout and Design
There are only three types of unit layouts for buyers to choose from: Type A, which has 4 bedrooms, 1 study room and 3 baths; Type B, which has 4 bedrooms, 1 maid’s room and 4 baths; and Type C, the largest, which has 5 bedrooms, 1 maid’s room and 4 baths. Units range in size from 1,513 sq ft to 1,930 sq ft, almost twice the size of most new high-rise developments sprouting up in and around the city. All units are furnished with air-conditioning, wardrobes, cabinets, bathroom fixtures and key furniture, so residents are able to move in with minimal fuss and without too much extra expenditures.
Each unit is not only spacious, with at least 1,500 sq ft of space, but also includes a minimum of two parking bays in the condominium’s parking area. The developer has clearly anticipated the need for more parking to cater to urban families with two or more members who require a car (for work, study or errands), although the addition of more LRT stations in the vicinity will hopefully help ease traffic congestion in the busy Old Klang Road and Bukit Jalil area.
Much like Exsim’s previous development, the silver GBI certified The Treez which is located nearby, The Rainz aspires to marry modern design with green functionality, with building materials and architectural designs specially chosen to reduce carbon emissions, maximise eco-friendliness and meet stringent Green Building Index (GBI) in order to obtain the certification.
Facilities
One of the rather interesting things found in The Rainz’s website is the 30 Days of Rainz page, where the condominium’s facilities are cleverly showcased in the form of a calendar of activities throughout the month. In addition to a guard house and welcoming lobby, the ground floor also houses a forest trail, bicycle/jogging track, basketball court, badminton and table tennis courts for the residents’ use. No worries here about security, as the building uses a floor-restricted access card system (like those in hotels) and 24-hour CCTV monitoring.
Going up the 8th floor, residents can expect a sunlit nursery, well-equipped gymnasium with sprint track (3 x 25m), swimming pool, wet and dry playground, another jogging path, BBQ area, multi-purpose piazza, function hall, open lawn, maze garden, trampoline park, camping zone, herb garden, and the special Rainz scented garden and Rainz shelter, among others. There will surely be something to suit everyone’s interests with the many facilities and features available at The Rainz. That’s not all, though, as residents are also entitled access to the ‘sky facilities’ even higher up within the condominium.
All the way up on the 35th floor is the ‘Sky Level’, where residents can enjoy meals at the sky dining area, relax at the sky lounge and garden, mingle with friends at the BBQ area, and watch the Kuala Lumpur skyline and sunset view from the viewing deck and sky pavilion to unwind after a long day.
