Ho ho ho! It’s December again (how time flies); ’tis the season to be jolly and head out to ooh and ahh at the beautifully decorated malls in the Klang Valley again. Christmas seems to be the best time of year to go out shopping, thanks to all the sales and enticingly attractive gift sets that are just perfect for Christmas gift exchange parties… and of course, the wonderful decorations that seemingly pop up overnight at the various malls. The work of magical Christmas elves, perhaps? Whoever they are, they deserve a hearty round of applause for all the work and effort that goes into giving shoppers a merry Christmas shopping experience. 😀

Update: Check out the awesome Christmas mall decorations for 2016!

Pavilion KL
17 November 2015 – 3 January 2016
The star of the show this year at Pavilion KL is, without a doubt, the magificent Swarovski Christmas tree standing proud in the mall’s Centre Court. The dazzling 23-meter tall Swarovski Christmas tree endorsed by the Malaysian Book of Records as the tallest Swarovski Christmas tree in Asia, which is made up of a whopping 175,000 clear Swarovski crystals worth RM3 million, and took 180 days of preparation to setup. There’s also an adorable little choo choo train ride just for kids! Besides admiring (and taking selfies with) the tree, you might also want to catch the snowfall that takes place daily at 8pm until 25 December. Who says we can’t have a white Christmas in Malaysia? 😉

*bloop bloop bloop!* Sunway Pyramid is celebrating Christmas in an aquatic wonderland with its “Christmas in Atlantis” theme this year-end. Immerse yourself in a dazzling underwater inspired themed Christmas – complete with seahorse drawn sleigh – and step into the Christmas tree to see dazzling fairy lights all around! Besides seahorses, you can also meet starfish, dolphins and even mermaids there, and take photos with them to be printed out on the spot. Take ALL the selfies/wefies!

P/S: We suspect the underwater theme is so that Spongebob Squarepantsand his friends at Sunway Lagoon can swim over to the mall for some Christmas shopping! 😛

In conjunction with its theme of warmth, the mall has teamed up with Make-A-Wish Malaysia to organise a charity campaign, and have successfully achieved “Most Number of Pledges Collected in a Christmas Season Charity Campaign” in the Malaysia Book of Records. Now that’s what they mean by ‘sharing is caring’! 🙂
