Similar to Palladium Cafe that we previously shared, The Parque Cafe is another “glass house” style cafe inspired by Jay Chou (周杰伦)’s music video, Handwritten Past 《手写的从前》. Located in Eco Sanctuary at Teluk Panglima Garang, Klang, The Parque Cafe is a welcome alternative to those looking for a place to enjoy a cuppa and a bite to eat while indulging in all-you-can-snap Instagram-worthy shots.
Although its location is rather further away from the usual coffee hotspots such as Bangsar, Damansara Uptown, or downtown Kuala Lumpur, patrons at The Parque Cafe will appreciate the peace and quiet out here in the suburbs of Eco Sanctuary, without the ever-present noise and pollution of the city. No hassle with parking too!
The concept and design of Palladium Cafe KL and The Parque Cafe may be almost the same, and located on EcoWorld show gallery grounds, but both are managed by different parties and their menu is sourced from different places. The Parque Cafe and Palladium Cafe (Johor) is operated by Coffee Concepts Company, and their coffees are brewed by their skilled baristas using locally roasted beans.
Their signature beverage is coffee, of course, but there are also options like tea, dark cocoa, matcha latte, mocha orange, fresh milk or Summer Fizz (soda with fruit extract) for the non-coffee-inclined. Besides coffee and cakes, their food menu also includes chicken, beef and smoked salmon baguette sandwiches, with plans to add spaghetti and pizza options in the future. (Thanks Time Out for the info!)
Unlike Palladium Cafe, which only has 3 small tables in its indoor air-conditioned area, The Parque Cafe has a separate air-conditioned structure next door, where patrons can enjoy their food and drinks in cool comfort, and with natural light for the perfect Instagram shot. Customers can also opt to lounge in the shade of the gazebo behind the two wood-and-glass structures. We like how there’s ample seating options for everybody without having to suffer under the blazing Malaysian sun!
The cafe will be up for only a few months, because it is a pop-up cafe, but the management may consider extending its operations there according to demand and positive feedback. In any case, you might want to give it a visit soon, or organize a food trip to Klang with a bunch of foodie friends. 😉
