If you’ve ever dreamed of owning that waterfront condominium to watch the sunset from your window, along with a speedboat waiting at the dock for weekend fishing trips, now might be a good time to pack your bags and head to Johor, because the Southern Marina Residences will be launched this weekend (June 27, 2015) at their sales gallery and show unit at Nusajaya.
Southern Marina Puteri Harbour, which won the Best Master Plan Category at the Malaysia Property Awards 2009 and Runner-up award at the FIABCI Prix D’Excellence Awards 2010, is a joint venture project by PPB Group Bhd, Kuok Brothers Sdn Bhd and Khazanah Nasional Bhd. Phase 1 of the development consists of two condominium towers, known as Southern Marina Residences. The two condominium towers will have 33 storeys and 35 storeys respectively. 236 condominium units will be released for sale this weekend, following encouraging sales reached from its earlier release of 220 units at Tower 1 in the first quarter of the year, half of which have already been sold via private previews.
The units range in size from the smallest 769-sq ft 1+1 bedroom layout, to the 3317-sq ft penthouse design. Units that have seen most keen interest are the 2+1 bedroom units, whereas the 3+1 bedroom units that include a garden and private terrace (in Tower 1) has been booked mainly by Malaysians. Prices start at RM880 per sq ft with maintenance fees of 50 sen per sq ft. All units come partially furnished, and include a well-equipped kitchen and quality interior design.

Features of the Southern Marina Residences include a 50m lap pool, function room by the pool, garden terraces, state-of-the-art gym, and sky gardens, while facilities like clubhouse, children’s playground, reading room, and security guardhouse are also included.

Location-wise, it is strategically located close to Puteri Harbour International Ferry Terminal and is a five-minute drive from Legoland, Hello Kitty Town, Mall of Medini and Gleneagles Medini Hospital. There are also 2 educational institutions in the vicinity, namely Marlborough College and Raffles American School. Locals who often travel to neighbouring Singapore, as well as Singaporeans who plan to stay here, will find Puteri Harbour’s close proximity to the Second Link Expressway (TUAS) a welcome convenience.
Phase 1 of the Southern Marina Puteri Harbour integrated development is expected to be completed by end of 2018; Phase 2 will be a 34-storey block of offices and suites, while Phase 3 is a 38-storey block of seafront residences. Details of all three phases of the development are being finalised, and the entire project is slated for completion in 2019.
