Tired of heading to shopping malls just to have something to do over the weekend? Well, time to spice it up with a short getaway to the Land of Windmills!
Wait! Before you look at me like I’m crazy, no, I’m not talking about The Netherlands (or Holland, if you prefer). Somebody alerted me to this fun little (okay, maybe not so little) spot which is perfect for a weekend with friends and family, and doesn’t require plane tickets or foreign currencies. I’m talking about having some fun at Under the Windmill Park at Eco Majestic in Semenyih.
Under the Windmills at Eco Majestic is an event organized by property developer EcoWorld at its Semenyih show gallery, and will run for 4 consecutive weeks until August 9. The main attractions are definitely the 8 windmills set up around Swan Lake, each with its own unique theme and decorations, perfect for selfies and photoshoots.
There’s more than just photo opportunities there, though, as there are also lots of fun activities lined up every Saturday with different themes and activities for the public to enjoy. Week 1 celebrated the Hari Raya weekend with “Sinaran Syawal”, while Week 2 was “Flying High, Landing Soft” for the more adventurous. The next two weekends are ideally themed for our hot summer Malaysian weather.
This weekend, August 2, will cool you down with plenty of splashing good fun with “Walking on Water” activities, and the final week, August 8, features “Kites, Bikes, Bite & more” for the whole family to enjoy. Besides the thematic events, there are other fun and interesting things to do there as well, including bicycling, walking on stilts, buggy rides around the park, kite-flying, clowns making balloon animals, face-painting, and craft lessons for kids!
