Home renovation is all well and good, because you get to decide on what goes into the design and functions of your home. Be it an open kitchen concept, a jacuzzi in the bathroom, or even a gym room, you can renovate according to your personal preferences. However, when it comes to investment or rental properties, a fair amount of consideration is required because it will be the tenant who will be using property and its fixtures. For example, if you’re planning to rent to students, a jacuzzi and fancy kitchen will be unnecessary, but extra study tables and chairs will be welcomed. In the same vein, a family would prefer to have a fully-equipped kitchen and dining area.

Take note of these three home renovation no-no’s, and avoid them if you’re planning to rent out your property!
